Understanding The Power of the Brain

Hi Anddreee,

In order to understand how our intelligence can indeed be
increased, you must first learn how your amazing brain works. Our
brain's cerebral cortex (the top and central layers), which plays
the role for higher-level thinking is made up of about one trillion
(1,000,000,000,000) brain cells called neurons.

Since all of us have roughly the same number of neurons (plus or
minus a few million), we have the same basic neurology or
'hardware'. To understand how powerful the brain really is, you
must know how it compares to the processing speed of computers
which is measured by MIPS (millions of instructions per second)

An Intel Pentium III Processor (500 Mhz) is able to process only
1,354 MIPS. In comparison, each brain cell (neuron) can process
1,000 instructions per second and our entire brain has the
potential to process 100 million MIPS! Th is means that our brain's
potential is equivalent to 73,855 Personal Computers working
together!

All of us share this same phenomenal brainpower and yet, we use
less than one percent of our true potential.

Neuro-Connections: The Key To Intelligence

So, if all of us have the same number of neurons (equivalent to
73,855 personal computers), then why is it that some students seem
to be more intelligent than others? Why are there some teens who
seem to grasp and remember academic concepts easily while others
struggle to try to understand and remember?

Th e answer lies not in the brain's neurology (or hardware), but
rather how our neurons are being activated and used (the software).
Twenty weeks after conception, our brain's neurons begin to make
connections with one another.

These connections are called Neuro-Connections. Every time our
neurons make a connection (known as a synapse), a new thought
pattern is formed. So the more neuro-connections we have, the more
intelligent we become in a particular area.

For example, if your child is good at Math and Science, it is
because the part of the brain that takes care of
mathematical-logical intelligence is very rich in connections. At
the same time, your child may not be very good at drawing, which
means that in the visual-spatial section of the brain, there are not
too many neural-pathways.

So, if your child is not strong at a particular mental activity
(like Math or memorizing facts), can he actually increase his
intelligence and abilities in that area?

Of course! Th e answer is by stimulating and challenging that area
of the brain, thereby creating more neuro-connections and
increasing his intelligence.

In other words, by doing more of something, you actually become
smarter in that activity! Th e brain is like a muscle. It grows
stronger the more it is used and challenged.

At the same time, when it is no longer challenged, it will
weaken...just like any other muscle in your body. Th is is why we
always tell our students that the only way to become great in Math
is to learn the right strategy and keep practicing it, until you
master it.

If you want to have a powerful memory, you must learn the right
memory techniques and keep practicing memorizing until you develop
a strong memory intelligence!

The trouble with most teens is that they do the exact opposite.
When they get confused or fail a particular subject (like Chinese),
they end up hating it and making little effort to master it. As a
result, they will never improve or they may even become worse at it!

How To Motivate Yourself Instantly!

Hi Anddreee,

Let us talk a little bit about resources. What are resources? These
are things that are experiences that make you feel a particular
way. There are many types of experiences and they include making
simple successes, past enjoyments, physical sensation, emotional
experiences and even special victories. All resources tap into the
state, make you feel resourceful. If you want to feel resourceful,
you need to tap into the events of the past that made you feel
resourceful.

This way, you will be able to exhibit the behaviors associated with
that resource. If you felt somewhat fearful, what resource would
you need? Well, you could probably think up of states, such as
determination, or even a sense of calm, or better still, a
combination of both. It does not matter that the times you
experienced these resources were not exactly the same situation
that you are experiencing now. All you really want to do is to be
able to tap into that state and become more powerful.

Likewise, even if you did not experience that state as powerfully
as an intensity scale of ten, just go in there because knowing how
to control your sub modalities means that you can intensify the
power of that resource. So, just go ahead and experience what it
might be like.

The next exercise we want to do is known as Mapping Across. Mapping
of sub modalities requires you to understand a few concepts. First
of all, you should know that every resourceful memory has a
structure that you can identify through the sub modalities
checklist.

Secondly, you can take the structure or the experience of the
resourcefulness, and use that to change the feeling or structure or
an experience that does not feel as resourceful as it should be.
For instance, if you felt confident in a past, you can take the
same confidence and put it in your new situation, so that even if
you used to feel a little bit unsure of yourself in this new
situation, you could use that confidence to bolster that confidence
in that new situation.

Let us do an experiment. Take an experience where you
procrastinated in doing something. But, the state of
procrastination should be one where you know that if you did do it,
it would benefit you. Go to that time now and identify the sub
modalities of procrastination. What state must you be in, in order
to do what you suppose to do? My guess is that you will need a
state called motivation instead of procrastination.

Could you think of a time where you were motivated? Maybe, when you
are compelled to get something done? Think of that situation and
identify the sub modalities behind that state. Once you have done
that, go back into the situation of procrastination. And now,
change the procrastination sub modalities, such that they are
motivation sub modalities instead. For instance, if the sub
modalities of procrastination were dark, closed and in color, but
the sub modalities of motivation were bright, closed and in color,
then, visualizing yourself in the situation of procrastination just
changing the level of brightness by making it brighter.

You will not have to change anything else because they are the
same, and since your mind codes it that way, changing those will
not make much of a difference in your coding of experience. As you
do this exercise, just remember to identify the differences between
the two experiences of procrastination and motivation, and make
changes only to those that are different. In NLP, we call them 'the
difference that makes the difference'.

Since both of them are coded differently, it must be the difference
in that coding that creates the bulk of a change of experience.
What you might expect as the outcome of this experiment will be
that the situation of procrastination will now appear more
motivating to you. You might even feel more compelled to go out and
get that thing done.

To your success!

Strategies to Effective Money Management

Hi Anddreee,

Before you can ever reduce your expenses and increase your savings,
you must first know where your money is going to. Many people share
the same experience of having no idea where their $5,000 salary
went. 'How did I spend so much money?' 'I thought that I should
have $1,000 left at the end of the month, but it seems to have all
disappeared!'

With a simple yet powerful system which I personally use together
with specially designed Microsoft Excel templates like the 'Monthly
Personal Income Statements' and 'Daily Expense Sheets' you just need
to invest fifteen minutes a day to manage your money.

If you want to be wealthy, do not expect it to happen
automatically. You must commit to spend time on your finances.
Earlier on in this book, I talked about the millionaire's daily
hour.

Millionaires spend an average of an hour a day on personal wealth
management
, while most people spend less than an hour a month,
usually on paying bills.

So out of this one-hour a day, you've got to devote the first
fifteen minutes to do these five Money Management Steps

1) Always Ask for a Discount

If it is not a fixed price store, there is a 70% chance that you
will get a discount if you just ask for it. If you get a 10%
discount, it is equivalent to earning an immediate 10% return on
your money. Over the long term, you will save a huge amount that
will accelerate you even faster towards your targeted net worth.

2) Always Ask for a Receipt

Always get a receipt so that you can track every single expense at
the end of the day and, if possible, claim it as a business expense
and get a tax deduction.

3) At the End of the Day, Record all Expenses in your Daily Expense
Sheet

You can do this manually in the sample 'Daily Expense Sheet 'at the
end of the chapter or you can key it in electronically into a
template.

I highly recommend you key it into an excel spreadsheet, so it can
automatically add up the total each month.

4) Use a Credit Card Whenever You Can (but always pay the full
outstanding sum every month)

Again, this will allow you a convenient way of having all your
expenses recorded for you in the monthly statement.

5) At the End of the Month, Update Your Monthly Income Statement

At the end of every month, add up the total expenses from your
daily expense sheet and update your monthly income statement. At
the same time, update all your income for the month. Deduct your
total expenses from your total income to get your monthly savings.

You must use a system to track where every single dollar goes. Only
when you know where your money is going, can you take steps to
channel it to your savings and investments.

Doing this month after month may seem tedious, but it is absolutely
necessary if you want to build your wealth. Only when you develop
the habit of managing your personal finances, can you manage the
finances of your own business.

So many people financially mismanage their businesses into
bankruptcy because they mismanage their own finances. Don't be one
of them!

Every State We Experience Is Linked To Our Physiology

Hi Anddreee,

The first factor that affects how we feel at any given time is our
physiology. You know, physiology is the condition and use of our
physical body. Think of all the times when your body was physically
in pain, when you were sick. Did it affect the state you were in?

Of course it did. You might have felt frustrated or depressed or
snapped at people who you normally were nice to. You may have been
very easily irritated by something that normally makes you laugh.

You know when my wife experienced hormonal changes during
pregnancy
, it did indeed change her state a few times a day. And it
is called mood swings, right? The way we use our physical body, as
in the way we move, stand and breathe, has a major impact on how we
feel.

So, let us do a little experiment right now. So, I really need you
to put your things away and really participate in this. I want you
to sit in a way when you were really depressed, you know, to get to
the really depressed state.

Think of the last time, you know, everything that could possibly go
wrong went wrong. And, I want you to sit and get into that state
right now.

Ready? Go! Go ahead into this depressed state.

Now, as you are feeling depressed, I want you to notice a few
elements of your physiology. Do you know what is your posture like
right now? Are your shoulders up or down? Is your breathing deep or
shallow? Is it fast or is it slow?

You know, which direction are your eyes looking in? Are the muscles
in your face tense or are they droopy? Notice the muscle tensions
in your hands and your legs.

If you are like most human beings, I bet your physiology will be
the following: You know, your posture would be shoulders down, head
down, and your eyes will be looking down and being defocused, your
breathing will be slow and shallow, the tone of your voice will be
the way I am speaking now, low volume, low pitch, the muscle
tensions will be relaxed, or slight tension a bit.

You see, every state has a specific physiology associated to it. In
order for us to get into a state called depression, we have to
shift our physiology in a certain way.

If not, it is impossible for the human nervous system to accept the
depressed state. We do it so often and subconsciously that many of
us have become experts at being depressed, have not we?

So power up you physiology right now and you'll snap into an
empowering state anytime!

The Impact of Saving... on Your Future Wealth

Hi Anddreee,

If you think about, many people will make over a million dollars in
their lifetime! If you were to earn an average income of $3,000 a
month ($36,000 a year) over 40 years (age 25-65), then you would
have a total of $1.44 million ($36,000 x 40 years) flow through
your hands.

If you were like most people who spend all they earn, you will end
up after 40 years with almost nothing. But what if you were to just
save 10% of that income every month and invest it in stocks and
mutual funds that earn you a 15% return a year and let your money
compound? How much would you have after 40 years?

Using a financial calculator, you can easily compute that you would
have accumulated $6.914 million! What? Is that right? Is there
something wrong with my calculator? No! Through the power of
compounding
, saving just $300 a month accumulates to over $6
million in 40 years! That is the power of consistent saving and
investing.

Most people feel that they do not have enough income to invest so
they procrastinate by saying, 'I will start when I earn more!'
Trust me, this is impossible. If you cannot save ten cents out of a
dollar, you will not save $100,000 out of a million. If you cannot
start with a small income, forget it when you have a bigger income.
Remember that if you do not start the habit of saving and
investing, you will end up with a lot more expenses when you earn
more.

Stop procrastinating! Start right away! Every day you delay is
costing you hundreds of thousands of lost dollars in your future.
Let's look at the impact of procrastination....

If you were to save $300 a month for 25 years at a 15% annual
return
, you will have $826,968 in the end

If you were to start just one year later and save $300 a month for
24 years at the same 15% return, you will end up with $715,723.
That's $111,245 less! In other words, waiting one year will cost
you $111,245 in future dollars. This is equivalent to losing
$304.78 ($111,245 divided by 365 days) of future wealth every
single day you procrastinate! Can you afford to do that?

So get ready to start increasing your monthly savings right away!

To Your Success,

Adam Khoo

We Create Our States!

Hi Anddreee,

Now, let me ask you a question, "Have you ever experienced this
state of procrastination before?" Stupid question! Of course you
have! You know, procrastination is the number 1 killer of all
successes, the number one thing that prevents people from getting
results.

It is when you know you should do something but you keep putting it
off. Have you ever had to start a project but kept doing everything
else that would delay you starting on the project? You know, you
clean your desk, you got to drink your water, and you walked
around, and finally said, "Ok, I will do it tomorrow!"

Has there been another time when you felt totally motivated in
doing that same project and just sat down and got it done? You
know, of course! The trouble is that it only happens once in your
lifetime, and never when we need to get it done.

But what was the difference? I mean, you were the same person, you
have the same resources available to you, but you are just in a
different state. You were in the state of procrastination because
the condition of your physiology and internal representation was
just at the same place.

Your breathing was probably slow and shallow. You know, your
muscles were droopy. Your eyes were looking down. Your facial
muscles were probably lax.

And how do you think you were creating your internal representation
when you were procrastinating? You know, what pictures do you think
you would see? You know, you would be probably seeing pictures of
yourself having a hard time, you saw yourself being overwhelmed,
and you saw yourself being frustrated.

And, one thing you were saying to yourself, what internal voices
were playing? You were probably saying things like, "Why must I do
this?" "Can I do it later?" in the most boring tone. The chances
are all these pictures and sounds fired off in your mind in a split
second.

Did you do it consciously? No, you did not. It was the subconscious
pattern that was fired off every time you had to do something
challenging, and that is why you never got anything done.

On the other hand, when you were in a motivated state, and just got
things down so quickly, how did you create that?

It was because you were in a different state. Your physiology was
completely different.

You know, your body was different and you were sitting differently,
you were breathing differently, you were moving differently, and
you were probably representing your task very differently in
telling your mind, you know, you will be seeing yourself getting
results, you will see yourself having fun, and you will see the
task being done effortlessly. You know, you probably said to
yourself, "Wow!"

Well, what was the difference? I mean you were the same person, you
had the same resources available to you, but you were just in a
different state.

When you were in the state of procrastination, it was because of
the condition of your physiology and the way you were internally
representing the task.

Again, we hardly manage our states consciously. We never
consciously decide to shift our physiology and control our internal
representation just to control our states.

Instead, we let our own minds to run on autopilot and allow us to
loose control of our states and our results.

Don't do that! Take charge of your states today.

To your success!

Andre, Run Your Investments Like a Business

Andre, Run Your Investments Like a Business

Adam Khoo

to me
Hi Andre,

I have found that people who have made money consistently through
their investments are able to do so because they treat it with same
seriousness as they would in building a business or a second career.

If you treat investing as just a 'by-the-way' activity that you
spend time on now and then, you will never be able to succeed. So,
how can you run your investing activity professionally like a home
business?

Decide On The Investment Strategies You Will Use

Just as an entrepreneur has to decide on the mix of products that
his business will sell, you have to decide on the type of
investment strategies you will use to generate the profits that you
aim for. You also have to decide how you are going to allocate your
investment funds between them.

There are a whole range of investing strategies to make money. Some
of them are short-term and some of them are long-term. Some of them
require daily monitoring while others require monthly monitoring.

The kind of strategies you should employ depends on your targeted
rate of return as well as the amount of time you have to spend. For
example, being a full time trader who is able to monitor the
markets for 5-6 hours a day, Conrad focuses 100% of his money into
very short-term momentum trades that make him quick gains within a
few days. Because of his smaller investment capital (which he first
started with), he solely uses Call & Put Options that give him the
highest possible return of 100%-200% on his money. His strength in
Technical analysis gives him an advantage in picking the best
momentum trades.

As a person who has full time businesses to run and relatively less
time to trade on a daily basis, I (Adam Khoo) allocate 80% of my
money into medium-term value stocks as well as buying ETFs that
track the overall market and its sectors. My strength in
fundamental analysis and business strategy also gives me an
advantage as a value investor. I would only focus the remaining 20%
of my funds into short-term momentum trades to give my returns an
added boost.

Whatever investment you decide to use, always remember that you
need to diversify your money adequately into at least 8-10
different stocks or options at any one time. No matter how much
research you do and no matter how good a company's stock can look,
things can turn against you with a single piece of negative
financial news.

Be prepared to make losses on a few trades, it is only natural.
However, if you stick to the rules and cut your losses, the profits
you make on your winning trades would be enough to build a small
fortune.

To your investing success,
Adam

Andre, Buying Calls: Make The Profits & Exit The Trade

fromAdam Khoo

Hi Andre,

With buying shares of stock, closing your position is pretty
straightforward. When the stock price moves up, simply sell your
shares and collect your money. If the stock price decreases, then
you can choose to sell and cut your losses when any of the criteria
for value or momentum stocks is violated.

What about Call Options? When and how should you sell them to take
your profits or cut your losses? Before you buy any Calls Options
on bullish stocks, you need to plan on WHEN and HOW you are going
to exit your trade. Here are three common scenarios that could
happen:

Scenario 1: Sell The Call Options for a Profit

This is the most common way to exit the trade. When the stock price
moves beyond the breakeven point and your Call Options increase in
value, you sell them for nice profit 30 days before expiration
Friday!

For example, BLUD stock is trading at $25.97 and you expect it to
increase to $31.16. You buy one contract of BLUD March 25 Calls at
$3.50 and pay $350 ($3.50 x 100 Calls).

From your calculations earlier on, you find that BLUD's stock price
must increase beyond $28.50 for you to breakeven.

If BLUD's stock price increases to $31.16, your Call Options will
now be worth $8.16 (Intrinsic value of $6.16 + Time value of $2).

So, you will sell your 100 Calls for $8.16 and receive $816.

Since you paid $350 for your Calls, you gain a profit of $466
($816-$350) giving you a 133% return on investment!

Scenario 2: Exercise the Calls Before Or On Expiration

In this scenario, you exercise the Call Options at expiration and
buy 100 BLUD shares at the lower strike price (i.e. $25) Then, you
sell the shares in the market at the higher price of $31.16,
gaining you a profit of $616 (($31.16-$25) x 100).

Since you paid $350 to buy 100 Calls, your net profit is $266 (i.e.
$616- $350). This is very RARELY USED by Options traders as it
involves having to actually buy the shares and re-selling it.

By waiting till expiration to exercise your Calls, you actually
make less profits than in the first scenario, since your options
have lost all its 'time value'.

Scenario 3: Cutting Losses

There is always a possibility the stock price will not increase
within the time frame or worse, it may move against you! Remember
that the stock has to increase beyond the breakeven price of $28.50
(Strike Price + Option Premium) for you to make a profit (at
expiration).

Instead of waiting until expiration when your time value and the
price of your options goes to zero, it is better to cut your losses
and sell the Call early to avoid losing your entire investment.

I usually cut my losses and sell my Call Options when:

1) The Call Options premium drops 50% below the price I paid
2) Any of the criteria of Value or Momentum investing are violated.
(e.g. the stock reverses into a downtrend)
3) There are 30 days left to expiration.

Through these 3 scenarios, you now have the knowledge to recognize
when is the time to exit.

To your investing success,
Adam

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #13#14#15

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #15

Jack Canfield

to me
08-16-2008

Dear andre,

One thing we know about successful people is they have learned
to say "no" to people, projects and priorities that keep them
from moving forward on their success path.

In fact, they believe saying "no" is just as acceptable as
saying "yes." They don't experience any guilt in saying no,
and oftentimes, they don't even explain why they're saying it!

They simply guard their time, talents and commitment very
carefully...dedicating themselves only to top priorities and
goals.

We could all say "no" a lot more often to time-stealers that
don't have a high pay-off. Take a look at the list below of
things you could cut down on TODAY by saying no:

1.) Non-essential email such as poems, jokes and stories.
Write a polite, "take-me-off-your-feel-good-
list" response
you can create as an email signature to reply whenever you
receive these. If you are rountinely copied on inner-office
email that doesn't apply to you, ask to be taken off the list.

2.) Telemarketing calls. Log on to www.donotcall.gov to have
your telephone number (including your cell phone number)
removed from telemarketing lists.

3). Other people's busy work. Direct co-workers to readily
available information they can locate, print and read on their
own, once they know where to find it -- instead of asking you
as an easier "go-to" source.

4.) Crisis deadlines. Ask to be notified well in advance of
deadlines so you are more in control of the delivery of
projects. Politely advise co-workers you cannot bail them out
at the last minute when they miss THEIR deadlines. Always ask
if the deadline is truly a high priority -- ultimately,
many are not.

Once you've turned your attention to the four immediate
time-stealers above, look around for other things you could
(and should) legitimately say "no" to.

As you free up your time for more successful activity, get
ready to completely redefine your schedule the way the world's
most successful entrepreneurs do. That's tomorrow's lesson.

We'll see you then.

In friendship,

JACK CANFIELD and JANET SWITZER

Dear andre,

This is Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer with another
Mentorship Message.

You know, achieving success isn't easy. In fact, there's a
lot of hard work that goes into it. But one thing we know
successful people do throughout the process is they stay
positive about the eventual outcome. They keep their eye on
the prize. No matter what is going on around them, they
stay focused on their goal.

One way we recommend the YOU stay focused is with a tool
called The Daily Success Focusing Journal. Every evening,
jot down five things you accomplished that day, and how you
can move each accomplishment forward with further action.

You can download the form here. Print a copy, then keep it
where you'll remember to complete it each evening before

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #13

Jack Canfield

to me
08-14-2008

Dear andre,

Despite some of the best information available on how to
accomplish any task, most people still tend to ask their
friends, neighbors, co-workers and siblings for advice on
key issues they may be facing.

This is Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer emailing with today's
mentorship message, asking, "Why not turn to people who are
experts in the field...who have already accomplished exactly
what you want to do?"

You could easily find dozens of mentors to help you on your
path -- and surprisingly, many of them will help out just for
the enjoyment of helping someone else succeed.

In today's mentorship lesson, take time NOW to jot down those
questions you need answered along with the kind of help or
contacts you might need a mentor to provide. Once you've
determined your needs, you can more easily search out
appropriate mentors in your field. When you find them, take
a risk and ask them to help.

You can find a sample script for making the initial phone call
on page 301 of The Success Principles, along with detailed
informationon how to find potential mentors.

We'll see you tomorrow with another Success Principles message.

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #12

Jack Canfield

to me
08-13-2008

Dear andre,

This is Jack Canfield with another Mentorship Message.

When Mark Victor Hansen and I published the first Chicken Soup
for the Soul book, we knew we wanted it to be a best-seller.

We wrote over 1,000 things we could do to bring us closer to
our goal...but then we got overwhelmed at the enormity of what
we were trying to do.

This sense of "overwhelm" happens to almost everyone who is
trying to achieve a truly big goal. But just like yesterday's
lesson about "chunking it down," today I'd like to share with
you the story of what Mark and I did to meet our "best-seller"
goal.

We established what we call our "Rule of 5." Just as the
Achievers Focusing System from yesterday helps you plan 3
things a week to do, we split up our list between us and agreed
to do 5 things A DAY that would get us closer to our goal.

Now, does everyone have the time and resources to make daily
gains? Of course not. But what if you could send five letters
asking for sponsorship money, make five phone calls asking for
new business, fill out five job applications for your new
career or read five chapters of the latest industry report?

Could you do that every day?

If so, it's one way to get further -- faster -- down your
personal path toward success.

To read more about the Rule of 5, see pages 178-180 of The
Success Principles book.

I'll be back tomorrow with another mentorship message.

08-12-2008

Dear andre,

Did you decide from yesterday's lesson on a personal
Breakthrough Goal that would up-level everything you do?

If so, then today's mentorship message will help you create
the step-by-step task list for getting that Goal accomplished.

In Principle 8 of The Success Principles -- "Chunk It Down" --
we tell you how to create a mind-map...that is, a picture of
every detail you must accomplish in order to achieve your
Breakthrough Goal.

We detail how to divide your goal into major categories and
tasks, and then into smaller tasks that can be easily
accomplished on a daily basis.

When you "chunk down" a goal like this, it doesn't seem so
daunting or difficult. That's because every large goal is
just a series of smaller goals accomplished over time.
(To see a picture of a mind-map, turn the page 64 of The
Success Principles.)

Of course, there's one way to keep yourself constantly meeting
these smaller goals on a weekly basis -- it's called The High
Achievers 90-Day Success Focusing System.

You can download it here. Print a copy, then each week jot down
just three things from your mind-map you are willing to
accomplish toward meeting your Breakthrough Goal.

Download the file:
http://www.thesuccessprinciples.com/resource/AchieversFocusingSystem.pdf

You'll be amazed at how fast you achieve small successes and
how much you accelerate the process of meeting your
Breakthrough Goal.

Take time NOW to download the form and create your own mind-map.
Then write down just three things to do each week for the next
12 weeks.

We'll see you tomorrow with another Success Principles message.

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #10

Jack Canfield

to me

08-11-2008

Dear andre,

Are you ready to take one major step forward on your
success path?

This is Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer emailing you to talk
about how YOU can make a quantum leap ahead by establishing
and achieving a breakthrough goal. Imagine a goal that would
"fast forward" you into playing a bigger game -- that is,
enjoying greater riches, experiencing better opportunities,
meeting more powerful people and gaining more valuable
knowledge.

Your breakthough goal should be one that has the ability to
up-level everything you do.

It may be a new skill that would land you that promotion. If
so, make it a goal to acquire that skill soon. Perhaps hiring
a new store manager would let you have dinner with your family
more nights every week. If that's the case, determine how to
pay for that new employee and start looking.

Perhaps your goal is as simple as earning $500 more every
month so you can pay off your mortgage faster. If that's your
breakthrough goal, determine NOW what you can do to bring in
that extra $500.

The mindset you need in order to get going is just a few
minutes away...with the help of The Success Principles and
today's audio lesson from Jack Canfield, which can be heard
by clicking below. (To read the details on Breakthrough Goals,
see page 53.)

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #7

08-08-2008

Dear andre,

In today's exciting segment of The Success Principles
Mentorship Program, get ready to learn the top technique used
by the world's richest businesspeople for earning vast wealth
and building successful businesses.

It's Principle #39: Stay Focused on Your Core Genius
And while you may not want to own a large business as these
folks do, you can certainly learn to hone in on what you do
best and delegate everything else. Successful people know what
they do best -- and they move forward by getting better and
better at it.

Imagine you're employed as a salesperson for a large
corporation, yet the paperwork part of your job keeps you from
doing what you do best...selling by phone or in person.

If you could approach your managers and convince them to hire
a part-time assistant to process your paperwork, that would
free you up to make them (and yourself) more money, wouldn't
it?

It's the same with any tasks that keep you from doing what
you do best--or from doing what you want to do most.

Even stay-at-home moms can find helpers to take over the
difficult or tedious work so they can spend more quality time
with their kids. It just takes commitment -- after first
determining what you need to delegate.

To hear what Jack has to say about focusing on your core genius
and delegating what you're not good at, first download the
Delegation Exercise Form, then click here to listen to today's
audio lesson.

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #8

08-09-2008

Dear andre,

Are you ready to hear about the one success principle that
most high achievers credit with bringing them success?

This is Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer emailing you to talk
about today's Mentorship topic...the mastermind group.

We know that many of the greatest minds in human history have
gathered around themselves advisors, experts, fellow scientists
and others to brainstorm, get feedback, ask for guidance and
receive the combined benefit of the spiritual energy that
comes from more than one mind working on solving a problem
and creating an opportunity.

Now it's time for YOU to benefit by forming your own group...
with the help of The Success Principles and today's
downloadable Mastermind Planning Tool.

Download the Mastermind Planning Tool here:

http://www.thesuccessprinciples.com/resource/TSP-Mastermind.pdf

By following the simple directions on this form, you'll develop
a list of potential members to be in your group...you'll know
what to say to get them to join...you'll learn how to run your
very first meeting...and you'll even have your own planning
tool to make sure you get the most out of every meeting.

When you do contact prospective members, mention that you got
the mastermind idea from reading The Success Principles book.
You can even suggest, once your group begins meeting, that you
end each mastermind session with a "homework assignment" to
read one chapter from The Success Principles.

To purchase multiple copies for your mastermind group or other
success study group, click here: http://www.jackcanfield.com

Through masterminding, you'll discover others who can help you
achieve success faster and more enjoyably than you ever
thought possible.

We'll see you tomorrow with another Success Principles message.

The Success Principles Mentorship Message

Jack Canfield

to me
08-10-2008

Dear andre,

Have you ever gotten involved in something that zapped your
energy, wasted your time and all came to nothing -- while at
the same time you watched a GREAT opportunity slip away
because you simply didn't have room in your life to pursue it?

This is Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer emailing to talk about
an amazing phenomenon that sometimes trips up even the world's
highest achievers -- getting involved in projects and
activities that take us nowhere, while projects and activities
that would bring us closer to our goal are left unattended to.

In The Success Principles (pages 296-298), we recommend saying
NO to the good, so you'll have time and energy to say YES to
the great.

Take a look at what you're involved in right now. Is it
preventing you from pursuing greater activities?

Worse yet, have you had to turn down great opportunities that
came your way because you were too involved in "ho-hum" or
"busy work" activity?

Take a look at the criteria we use to assess current activity
and future opportunities (you'll find it on page 297). Spend a
few minutes now reading this checklist with your current
activities and pursuits in mind.

Do you need to be saying "no" to the good in your life, so the
great has room to enter in?

And finally, answer the question: What could show up in YOUR
life if you said no to the good?

We'll see you tomorrow with another Success Principles message.

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #6

Jack Canfield

to me
08-07-2008

Dear andre,

It's Jack Canfield here again with another important segment of
The Success Principles Private Mentorship Program.

In Principle #11: See What You Want, Get What You See, I said
that visualization--or the act of creating in your mind vivid
and compelling pictures of what you want--may be the most
underutilized success tool because it greatly accelerates the
achievement of any success.

Research shows that visualization prior to any activity helps
improve your performance--a secret that star athletes and
others have known for decades.

Have you learned yet how to visualize what you want? If not,
grab your list of goals (from the Decide What You Want segment
of the Mentorship Program) and begin by seeing your goals as
already complete. Turn to page 81 of The Success Principles
to review how to visualize. Then make it a daily habit to
"see" yourself achieving your most important dreams.

We'll be back tomorrow with another mentorship message.

Why You Are Not Rich Yet Tuesday, August 12, 2008 1:55 PM

Hi Anddreee,

Let me first ask you this question, 'Why are you not rich yet'?
'What has prevented you from getting the wealth you deserve?'

Spend some time to really ponder on this question and write down as
many reasons as you can think of. It is important that you are
totally honest with yourself.

Most people tend to say:

'I have no money to make money'
'I was born in a poor family'
'I need to support my family'
'I am too young/old'
'I'm not smart enough'
'I have no opportunities'
'I lack the qualifications'
'I have an unsupportive spouse'
'I lack the financial know-how'
'I have no luck'
'The economy has been down'
'I made poor decisions'

Do any of the reasons shown here match the ones you have given? I
want you to look at all the reasons you have been giving yourself
and to take note of whether they are reasons that are within your
control or external reasons that you think are beyond your control.

You see, most people go through life with the Victim's mindset and
this prevents them from ever changing their financial situation.

When they don't get the results they want, victims tend to give
themselves lots of excuses like 'I'm just unlucky', ' I have no
experience', 'I'm too old to earn more', 'I'm too young to be
rich', 'I have no capital', 'I was born poor' or 'I'm not a
creative person'.

The reason all these are lousy excuses is because we know that
there are many examples of people who have created wealth for
themselves, despite all these perceived disadvantages.

Victims also tend to blame everyone except themselves. When you ask
victims why they are not rich yet they will say something like, 'my
boss won't give me a raise', 'I don't get any opportunities', 'my
big family prevents me from saving money', 'the stock market caused
me to lose everything'.

And instead of finding a way to improve and change, victims spend
their time complaining but don't do anything about it.

The trouble is that when you give yourself excuses, blame others
and whine, it means that someone else or something else is
controlling your life and your (lack of) wealth.

Since you believe that it is not your fault, then you are powerless
to change it. If you have a victim's mindset and hold doggedly onto
the belief that external forces are controlling your wealth, then
any strategies you learn will be of no use!

The moment you acknowledge that you create your own fortune (or
lack of it), it means that you have given yourself the power to
start becoming rich right now!

When you learn the strategies of wealth creation, you will find
that you can make money at any age, with any background, with
little or no money and in any economy.

Anddreee, The Two Elements In Changing Of State

Hi Anddreee,

How many times have you told yourself, "I am happy, I am happy, I
am happy, I am happy!" but stayed lousy? You know, we have already
said it is not positive thinking or logic that drives our emotions
and our actions. It is truly our emotional state.

So, how do we create our states? You know, when you are motivated,
how do you do that? How do you get motivated? When we are
depressed, how do we create it? Understand that any more of time
your state is determined by 1) your physiology and 2) your internal
representation.

Your physiology, or the way you use your physical body affects the
state you are in. When you are depressed, it is because your
breathing is at a certain place. Your body posture, your muscle
tension, your facial expression all in a certain place.

When you are feeling motivated, excited, enthusiastic, guess what,
your physiology is totally different. You know, you are breathing
differently, you are moving differently and you have got a
different look on your face.

The second thing that affects your state you are in is your
internal representation. Basically, this is to say how we
internally think and represent what is going on around us is 'how
do we represent the world in our heads

There are 2 basic ways to represent things in our mind.

The first is through seeing pictures, and the second is through
hearing sounds. And a lot of the sound that we play in our head is
our own internal voice.

By consciously shifting our physiology and taking control of our
body as well as managing how to represent our internal
representation, we can automatically change the states we are in.

To your success!

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #5

Jack Canfield
to me

08-06-2008

Dear andre,

In today's Success Principles Mentorship Message, you'll
learn how to identify what you want--and begin taking steps
to get it.

Have you ever made a list of what you want from life? From
the kind of career you work at to the kind of income you enjoy
...to your relationships, your health, your vacations, material
possessions, spiritual well-being and more?

If you haven't, it may surprise you to know that simply
deciding what you want is the often first and most important
step to getting it.

It's true. Our brain is a goal-seeking organism. In fact,
scientists now know the brain uses its own reticular activating
system to filter through the millions of images, sounds,
impressions and other messages we receive each day - to let
into our conscious mind only that information we need to
survive or meet goals we have identified.

When you decide what you want, you instruct the brain to start
looking for information, resources, opportunities and other
ways to achieve the "want" you've identified. While this may
sound like an impossibility given your current situation or
circumstances, we've seen countless individuals "suddenly" get
what they want--often from a source or opportunity that already
existed in their life or sphere of influence. They had just
never instructed their brain to find it before.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT?

To help your reticular activating system begin finding YOUR
wants in unexpected places, take time now to decide what you
want in the following seven areas. Don't hold back! And forget
about whether YOU think it's possible for you right now.

Turn to page 25 of The Success Principles book - Principle 3:
Decide What You Want -- for explanation. Then click here to
download a simple form you can use to document what you want
out of life.

Download the form:
http://www.thesuccessprinciples.com/resource/TSP-DecideWhatYouWant.pdf

Jot down anything and everything you've dreamed of being,
doing, owning or having. Then don't be surprised when it shows
up in your life!

FINANCES - Write down how much income you want to make, how big
your savings account should be, what your investments will be
like, when you want to pay off your mortgage, how much you'll
want for your children's college education and so on.

CAREER/BUSINESS GOALS - Write down your dream career or the
dream business you would like to own. Write down in vivid
detail what you want a typical day to be like. Write down the
kind of people you would like to work with and so on. What is
fulfilling to you?

FREE TIME/FAMILY TIME - If you could have any amount of free
time or any kind of family experiences you wanted, what would
they be? Jot them down now. How many days off a year do you
want? What kinds of vacation experiences and trips do you want
to go on? What would your hobbies be if you had all the free
time and family time you wanted? What kinds of special events
would you attend?

HEALTH/APPEARANCE - If you could look, feel and act exactly as
you wanted, what would your health and appearance goals be?
Would you lose weight? Would you wear designer clothes? Would
you eat healthier...even have your own private chef? Would you
overcome a chronic illness or medical situation you are in
right now?

Write down now what you want in terms of your health and
appearance.

RELATIONSHIPS - We all thrive and live more fully when we're
surrounded by people who love, appreciate and empower us.
Decide what kinds of relationships you want in YOUR life. Is it
someone to love, a fantastic relationship with your spouse,
better bonds with your children or siblings? And what about
your professional associations? Do you want phenomenal mentors,
important friends, powerful business associates or other
influential people in your life? Decide now who they are.

PERSONAL GROWTH - Do you want to be better educated or become
a more powerful, confident person through personal growth?
Decide now what you want to learn and know. Or perhaps you seek
greater spiritual knowledge or teaching...or simply take a yoga
class and get more balance in your life.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE - Do you want to volunteer for the Peace
Corps or donate millions of dollars to your favorite charity?
Do you want to mentor others, befriend a group of needy
individuals or otherwise make a difference in the world? Decide
now what you want your role to be.

REMEMBER THIS...

Whatever you want from your life, remember that what you want
WANTS YOU! It's merely a matter of first deciding, then
watching incredible opportunities and fulfillment show up in
your life.

In tomorrow's Success Principles Mentorship email, we'll even
give you a powerful strategy for accelerating the goals you've
identified above. Until then, take time now and enjoy the
process of deciding what you want!

See you tomorrow!

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #4

Jack Canfield
to me
08-05-2008

Dear andre,

By now, you've made great strides towards becoming more
successful.

In today's important segment of The Success Principles
Mentorship Program, we'll look at completing the past so we
can embrace an even more exciting future.

One of the activities we recommend for all success students
is to clean up your incompletes and your messes - so you can
actually make room for more opportunity and abundance to come
into your life. You can read more about why this strategy works
in Principle #28 of The Success Principles book (page 208).

We know of countless people who have experienced new romantic
relationships, increased business, and enjoyed better physical
health and other amazing benefits, simply because they took
time to "clean out the old" from their file drawers, garage
shelves, clothes closets -- and heart and mind.

You can, too.

We'll see you tomorrow with another mentorship message.

JACK CANFIELD and JANET SWITZER

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #3

08-04-2008

Dear andre,

It's Jack Canfield here again with another important segment
of The Success Principles Private Mentorship Program.

Have you ever thought that maybe - just maybe - you're here on
this planet for a much larger purpose than the role you're
fulfilling now?

Have you ever really discovered what your unique purpose is?
Or thought about what career counselors call your "right
livelihood"?

In Principle #2 of The Success Principles book - "Be Clear Why
You're Here" - I write that successful people take the time to
understand their life's mission and to determine what they're
here to do. They then pursue that role with passion and
enthusiasm.

Have you completed the Life Purpose Exercise on page 23?

If not, do so now:

1.) List two of your unique personal qualities such as
"enthusiasm"and "creativity."

2.) List one or two ways you enjoy expressing those qualities
when interacting with others, such as "to support" and "
to inspire."

3.) Assume the world is perfect. Describe it as you see it -
what are people doing, how are they interacting, what does
it feel like?

4.) Combine your three answers above into a single statement
such as: "My purpose is to use my creativity and enthusiasm
to support and inspire others to freely express their
talents in a harmonious and loving way."

You needn't make it poetic or flowery. Just use words that are
important and inspiring to you in describing what you believe
is your unique role in the Universe.

This exercise will be important in completing many future
Mentorship modules. But first - in tomorrow's message - we'll
look once more at the past, completing it before moving on to
embrace the future.

We'll see you tomorrow with another mentorship message.

JACK CANFIELD and JANET SWITZER

The Success Principles Mentorship Message #2

Dear andre,

It's Jack Canfield here again with another important segment of
The Success Principles Private Mentorship Program.

In Principle #26: Acknowledge Your Positive Past, I said that
research shows over and over again the more you acknowledge
your past successes, the more confident you'll become in taking
on new challenges and successfully accomplishing them.

That's what successful people do.

They confidently seek out and accept new opportunities for
advancement because they have the confidence of a lifetime
of much smaller achievements.

Have YOU made a list of the successes you've achieved in your
life? If not, turn to page 197 of The Success Principles now
and begin by dividing your life into three parts. Then jot
down what YOU learned over the three stages of your life.

You'll discover you know more about success than you
previously thought. Be sure to keep this list and refer back
to it whenever you need to remind yourself about your ability
to achieve success at any endeavor.

We'll see you tomorrow with another mentorship message.

Delinquent Into A MILLIONAIRE At Just Age 26, Simply Visit:

===============================================================

Hi Andre,

Why are some people able to achieve so much more out of their lives
than others? Why are some people able to produce outstanding,
extraordinary results, exceeding what is commonly expected?

Is it because they have a lot more talent or capability? Do they
have superior resources that other people lack?

Did the Wright brothers, inventors of the airplane, possess more
aerodynamic and engineering expertise than the sum of all the
engineers and inventors of their time?

Did Mahatma Gandhi come from a powerful family that enabled him to
establish a power base to liberate India from the British?

Was Ho Chi Min a mighty general who trained the Viet Cong to first
drive out the French and then the Americans?

These men did not possess any measurable resources to achieve
their accomplishments...and history is peppered with many examples of
such outstanding individuals.

What set these men apart were the incredible beliefs they had about
the moral rightness of their cause. That gave them extraordinary
strength to fight on against all odds, winning eventually.

Beliefs are like Operating Systems

Our beliefs can be described as the operating system to our brain.
They determine our expectations, producing the proportionate results.

If you believe that you can become a Millionaire, CEO or President,
this is what you will expect from yourself.

If you believe you do not have the capability to earn more than
$40,000 a year, this is also what you will expect from yourself.
If you believe that you can lead others, you will expect to attain
nothing less than a management position.

If you believe that you are nothing more than a follower, you will
not expect anything more than being just a front line employee.

If you have an empowering belief that you can build a highly
successful business, this belief will drive you to take massive
action.

You will develop a business plan, attract investors and launch
your marketing campaign.

You will start innovating new product lines, probably investing in
Research and Development to create entirely new products or processes

Sure you will have lots of obstacles along the way, but your
beliefs will drive you to turn any failure into feedback changing
your strategy until you get the result you want.

Even if you don't achieve the exact targets you set for yourself,
you are going to produce some great results.

Beliefs are the driving force behind the actions we take,
determining how much personal potential we are able to tap within.

When we believe that something is possible, we will go all out to
make it happen. We will take massive action and commit ourself to
keep doing whatever it takes to achieve it.

Strong empowering beliefs lead seemingly ordinary people to achieve
extraordinary results, while limiting beliefs cripple the most
talented despite them having all the resources, from achieving what
they could have achieved.

To Your Success,

Adam Khoo
